Investigator, Program in Policy Decision-Making
Gildiner holds a joint appointment in the Department of Political Science (disciplinary) and the Department of Health, Aging and Society (interdisciplinary) at McMaster. Her theoretical research interests have focused on the dynamics of policy change and decision making, particularly using a historical-institutionalist approach. Substantively, they have been concerned with: public-private change in health policy; disability policy and disability insurance (e.g., workers' compensation and automobile casualty insurance); and equity. She currently is involved in research projects related to each these.
