Elizabeth is a licensed physician in both Canada and the United States, and joined the Health Policy PhD program at McMaster in 2011. She completed her medical degree and family medicine residency at the University of Toledo in Ohio, and earned a master’s degree in public health through the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health. She has worked in multiple healthcare settings in Canada, the U.S., and Honduras, including as the associate medical officer of health in Thunder Bay. Her PhD work will revolve around knowledge translation from evidence to healthcare policy in low- and middle-income countries. She is supervised by John Lavis.
